Rick Owens Fall 2015/2016

First of all, i want you to look at the opening and closing looks. The first being plain, and the latter, embellished that made it look armorial in a way.  Now this is what i love about Rick Owens, each season he always tries to challenge himself to be relevant. He has sort of become the Prada of the underworld. I thought the collection was so beautiful, suitable for a lady with such character. I was expecting to see an exposure like from the menswear a few months back, instead, he covered the girls from neck to ankle.

Coats were treated and cut with volumes, but what i adore more about this outing is the play with shapes that  complemented  the woman's body. Those tops and skirt, the potato sack dresses were absolutely stunning.

Yang Li Fall 2015/2016

Yang Li is one of those young designers in Paris that always struck me. I always love his combining of perfectly tailored everything and unfinished hems giving his clothes its backbone with a certain vulnerability; and  this skill certainly showed up as an opener to his latest collection for fall.

In the middle half of the collection were dresses and coats made of this sort of crumpled fabric where volume and proportions had been so well executed.

And then the mini top-maxi skirt  ended the show again.

Though there wasn't much a statement piece here like in his previous collections. i thought this was a much mature and very strong collection from him. It had lesser tactics, but offered  hard edge pieces that could stay in your closet for seasons to come.

Welcome

I have recently decided to bring back my blogging skills(if i had any), but this time will be more focused on anything that speaks craftmanship, art, and high-fashion. And what a good time to kick off as the Paris fashion week has just began. I will be opening an Instagram and a Facebook account so that you can easily access my  posts as well.
Thank you.
